well i got thru about 7 pages last night before i fell asleep. nothing to report really except that i must admit i'm a little scared after jeff knighten and anna myers told me they stopped reading it. jiff told me this book "ruined my life" and anna that "it screwed me up."
ryan said it was good, but not as good as "the fountainhead" by ayn.

we'll just have to see.

yesterday i was at borders in san antonio and bought the ayn rand classic "atlas shrugged". i pretty much have no idea what its about, but apparently a lot of people have pretty strong opinions on it. so in the course of reading this 1066 page behemoth, i'll post my thoughts about it on here.

i'm on page 2, that is... 1/533rd thru the book, and this was pretty cool and is a perfect explanation of how i feel about memory and the loss thereof... i have serious forgetfulness issues:

"He thought suddenly that was some phrase, a kind of quotation that expressed [something that only makes sense in context, but feel free to insert the name of whatever you have issues expressing/recalling]. But he could not recall it. He walked, groping for a sentence that hung in his mind as an empty shape. He could neither fill it nor dismiss it."

So i totally remember stuff in shapes, like when i'm thinking of some word that's on the tip of my tongue, it's like... about this long, a couple consecutive vowels somewhere in there... so props to ayn rand for thinking how i think.
